Herbal Porridge Recipe

Ingredients

  • Rice (1½ cup)
  • Dried Red Dates (6 pieces)
  • Goji Berries (1 teaspoon)
  • Chinese Angelica Root (a few)
  • Chinese Angelica Root Head (a few)
  • Codonopsis pilosula (a few)
  • Polygonatum odoratum (4 pieces)
  • Salt (1 teaspoon)

Method

  1. Soak rice for 2h then place in a pot and add water using a proportion of 1:6.
  2. Add in all the herbs (Red Dates, Goji Berries, Angelica Root, Codonopsis pilosula and Polygonatum odoratum).
  3. Soak the herbs overnight to increase their fragrance.
  4. Bring to a boil with high heat, then simmer under low heat for about 30 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and ready to serve.

材料

  • 糙米(1½ 杯)
  • 红枣(6 粒)
  • 枸杞(1 茶匙)
  • 当归尾(一些)
  • 当归头(一些)
  • 党参(一些)
  • 玉竹(4 片)
  • 盐(1 茶匙)

方法

  1. 把提前浸泡两小时的米放进锅中和以米和水(1:6)的比例加入。
  2. 再把所有的药材(红枣,枸杞,当归头,当归尾,党参和玉竹)放入。
  3. 浸泡隔夜药材香味更加浓郁。
  4. 隔天再以大火至沸腾,转小火煮大约30分钟。
  5. 放入盐调味,即可享用。
