Carob Pie Recipe

Ingredients

(Crust)

  • Walnuts (1 cup)
  • Atta Flour (1 cup)
  • Salt (½ teaspoon)
  • Water (½ cup)

(Filling)

  • Cashews (1 cup)
  • Water (3 cups)
  • Honey (½ cup)
  • Vanilla Extract (1 teaspoon)
  • Corn Starch (6 tablespoons)
  • Carob Powder (4 tablespoons)
  • Salt (½ teaspoon)

Method 

  1. Process walnuts, atta flour and salt until smooth.
  2. Pour processed mixture into a bowl. Add water, mix well.
  3. Flatten dough evenly and place in a baking dish. Cut off excess dough.
  4. Bake at 170°C for 25 minutes.
  5. Blend cashews, salt, corn starch, carob powder, vanilla extract, honey and water until smooth.
  6. Cook over medium-high heat until thickened.
  7. Pour filling into prepared pie crust.
  8. Cover with plastic film and chill until hardened.

  • 核桃(1 杯)
  • 全麦面粉(1 杯)
  • 盐(½ 茶匙)
  • 水(½ 杯)

(馅料)

  • 腰果(1 杯)
  • 水(3 杯)
  • 蜂蜜(½ 杯)
  • 香草精(1 茶匙)
  • 玉米淀粉(6 汤匙)
  • 角豆粉(4 汤匙)
  • 盐(½ 茶匙)

方法

  1. 将核桃,全麦面粉和盐搅拌均匀。
  2. 将混合物倒入碗里。加入水,拌均匀。
  3. 将面团压平,放入烤盘。将多余的旁边切掉。
  4. 以170度烤约25分钟。
  5. 将腰果,盐,玉米淀粉,角豆粉,香草精,蜂蜜和水搅拌丝滑。
  6. 以中火煮至浓稠。
  7. 倒入准备好的面皮上。
  8. 用保鲜膜盖着,冷却至硬。
