100g of Molasses sugar provide about 90% of the iron, 44% of the calcium, 39% of the magnesium, and 65% of the potassium required daily in the diet. This rich, fine-grained sugar is almost black in colour as it contains the highest amount of molasses amongst the soft sugars. It has a very sticky texture and rich flavour which makes it ideal for Christmas cakes and puddings, mix-fruit cakes, toffees, chutney, and even many savoury dishes.
